OGGI's story began in 1952, when founder Seyfettin Polat began working in a small shoe factory as a teenager. After 19 years in the traditional handmade shoemaking profession, his passion led him to establish his own factory in Istanbul, Türkiye, in 1971.
Thanks to its knowledge, use of high-quality materials and special hand workmanship, it became a brand with its production factory in 1995 and its reputation spread to many countries.
