The Heart of the Footwear Industry Beat in Izmir
INTERMODA SHOES EXPO - International Footwear and Bag Fair was held at Fuar Izmir between November 22-24, 2025. Organized by Akort Fuarcılık, the fair brought together industry professionals, designers, and young entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the opening, Yalçın Ata, President of the Izmir Footwear Manufacturers' Chamber, drew attention to the importance of the fair for the sector and emphasized the value of coming together after a three-year break. Ata stated that fairs are a window that opens Turkish footwear to the world.
Orhan Akkaya of Akort Fuarcılık touched upon the strength of Turkish footwear in international markets and stated that INTERMODA SHOES EXPO is a platform that showcases production quality and design vision to the global stage. Throughout the fair, participating companies introduced their new collections, while young entrepreneurs stood out with their original designs. Visitors had the opportunity to closely examine the use of innovative materials and the understanding of sustainable production.
